Exmouth, gateway to the world Heritage Jurassic Coast, is a bustling seaside town where the Exe meets the sea. Exmouth has been a popular seaside destination since establishing itself in the 18th century when it was Devon’s first holiday resort. I wanted to capture the vibrant town and the beautiful, fun, family-friendly beach full of people enjoying their day out. The Pride of Exmouth, which can be seen coming from the River Exe to the left of the composition, is a distinctive and colourful cruise boat which runs trips all year round. It’s where I spent my 30th birthday!
Forming part of a new series for 2023, 'The Sketch Book Series'. A slightly looser, more fluid style that I have initially captured while at each particular place.
