There are many characters in my paintings but this one really gives a glimpse into their lives! The couple are having a glass of wine in their beach hut (if you look closely you can see a miniature painting of Down at the Back Beach on their wall), Fisherman Pete rubs his dog down with a towel and has his bottle of rum ready to drink, and Sophie's Mum reads a book whilst Sophie and Goose make a sandcastle. There are many stories and narratives within this, set on the back beach in Teignmouth.
