National Art Retailer of the Year! 2022
Well, what can I say? What an exciting time we’ve had lately!
Earlier this year we entered the highly coveted ‘National Art Retailer of the Year 2022’ Awards. This award is prestigious as it recognises only the best of the best in their field.
Our gallery, along with other competitors from around the UK, was judged by a panel of experts from the Fine Art Trade Guild. Once we’d entered we held our breath - then found we had been short-listed!
Our nerves were taut as we travelled to Stratford-Upon-Avon where the award ceremony was being held. Unscheduled delays and heavy traffic meant we had to get changed into our glad rags in record time, but we made it to the venue in time for pre-dinner drinks and a chance to mingle with other competitors. Phew!
After dinner we waited with bated breath as the host Jo Palmer, Master of the Guild, announced the winner.
And . . . We won!
We are so proud and want to say big thank you to our loyal customers for their support in the ever changing times during the pandemic. A time when we had to think in an entirely different way, and we had to quickly expend our e-commerce side of our business. Not every independent gallery made it through these difficult times, so again a huge heartfelt thank you to you all!
So what’s in store for us now? It’s hard to follow that!
Well, this year Teignmouth is hosting the Red Arrows and we have a limited edition print ‘Roaring through the Skies’ to mark the occasion. Also to mark the event we’ve printed a special label of the Red Arrows and put it on our Gold award seaweed gin. We’ve limited this to 100. We’re so excited about what the future will bring and look forward to sharing our new ideas with you.
Summer is here and what a better time to paint, or to head to our wonderful Back Beach!
So for now, we’ll say good-bye, till next time.
